Ranger Vehicle Preparation Centre

Ford adds a Vehicle Preparation Centre facility in its Rayong, Thailand facility to offer factory-fit options to Ranger buyers. The centre is a joint-venture between Ford and the RMA Group, an existing Ford partner and vehicle modifier.

The Vehicle Preparation Centre – or VPC – was created in response to customer demand for personalisation and in an attempt to reduce wait times.

Buyers who specify from a range of Ford official options as part of the updated MY2024.5 will see their car as it left the Rayong factory. The options include two new “stylish” (ie lifestyle-focussed) canopies, a commercial canopy and a manual roller shutter.

Each of these are fitted at the VPC before being shipped to the final destination in Australia. According to Ford this would reduce customer waiting times in Australia as dealers would not need to fit these options.

The VPC also fits options to the Ranger-based Everest.
