The second round of post-launch price rises came in April 2023 and applied to the MY2023.5 line up announced in November 2022.
The hardest hit were V6-powered Rangers, in both diesel and petrol forms. The Raptor remained the king of rampant increase, sailing very close to the $90,000 mark.

The middle-of-the-range XLT was a target for hefty rises, starting at $500 and reaching as high as $1200. The MY2023.5 price hikes were in the order of $800-$1000, so inflation hit the XLT particularly hard. It remained the value-for-money mid-spec proposition the careful buyer had favoured.

Moving up to the Sport, price rises were a little more restrained on the turbo four but just as harsh on the V6. The generosity of the MY2023.5 update – and attendant prices rises – was not repeated here.

The hugely successful Wildtrak also bore the brunt of big price rises, particularly on the V6 which hadn’t been spared the rod in the MY2023.5 update.

Stepping into the range between the MY2023.5 and 2024 model years, the Platinum was spared the accountants’ icy hand.

Dual | Pick-up | 3.0-litre V6 turbodiesel | 10-speed auto | $76,990 |
The popular Raptor second-generation arrived with the rest of the MY2022 range to capitalise on its success. Another hefty rise did the same.

Dual | Pick-up | 3.0-litre V6 turbodiesel | 10-speed auto | $87,990 (+$1200) |
Another round of increases would arrive in September 2023.
